| Subject: Resolution Change? Old Savegame? Steam Controller? HELP! Sat Jul 23, 2016 11:44 am | |
| Hi There!!
Amazing Skyrim!! But I´m lost on several items that I don´t know where to find info..
1) How do I know at which resolution and video settings I´m playing? may I use the Skyrim Launcher to config or that file called Skyrim_config.exe??? what is that for?
2) I do have several old savegames that belong to another modded version I was playing. Is there any way to Import/Load into this version? I´m trying but I get a CTD when loading. What is that SaveTool.exe? May that App help me?
3) I´m trying to run the game from Steam so I could have the Steam Overlay Active and I could use the Steam Controller to play.
I´ve tried to add the SKSE_loader.exe as a NEW GAME into steam but I´m getting an error in Wearable lanterns stating to run Skyrim as Admin (I´ve already set Tesv.exe and ModOrganizer.exe and SKSE_loader.exe and STEAM to run as administrator). Should I do anything else to make it work?
4) where do I modify the Vsync limit that is set currently in the game? I want to raise the limit to 120 fps or more!
THAAAANKS!! | |

| 1. Use Skyrim_config.exe for resolution change.
2. For 4.3 old saves not compatible.
3. Read the instruction for Steam install.
4. Do not raise fps more than 60 otherwise the gameplay will be unstable.

The problem is that If I Add the SKSE_LOADER.EXE as a new Game in steam....the game runs with 2 errors regarding HDTD or something similar and Wearable Lanterns mod..but it runs. The main issue is that the STEAM CONTROLLER is not working this way.....maybe there is another way to run the TESV.EXE? 4) ohhhh what a shame...I´m interested in rasing the FPS to see it on the HTC VIVE with more fluid animations.

| 1.http://perfectlymodded.weebly.com/steam-installation-guide.html - Step 5: Start MO (ModOrganizer.exe) and make sure all mods from left and right pane are activated.-Step 6: Start SKSE through MO to play the game.2.\Skyrim\antilag.cfg -FPSlimit=120 *Skyrim is designed to run at 60 FPS you might see some crazy results raising it. 3.In-game go to options, find controller and enable it. 4.It's never advisable to use save-games from another modded play-through, specially when using 450+ new .esp's 5.Resolution : from MO use configurator : •Open MO and click config it's the •Set it to what values you think your PC can take http://perfectlymodded.forumz.ro/t132-performance-guide | |

I do want to donate as informal sign of gratitude, I´ve read your explanation about donations..so send me a message with a way to donate to you I want to be the number 7 donation jajajaj I´m from Argentina and I have paypal ... :) Regarding the questions... yes, I´ve read that part about MO but that way to launch the game is not working as the steam controler overlay keeps assigned to MO instead Skyrim, and therefore not working in game. Is there anyway to assign a "direct launch".exe to the game so I could add it to the Steam Library as third party game? maybe an executable file with parameters? Otherwise I´m loosing the Steam Controller Support...Is not working...neither If I select xbox360 controller in game. And regarding the savegame...is there any tool I could use to import it somehow? at least I want to try...I´ve played that savegame since 2 years ago and I have also very specific build of level 33 that I want to test here in Skryim PM.... please...any advice to try??? About the other questions THANKS! I´m testing the settings ;) CHEERS!! PS: I insist please send me details to donate.

| I will look into steam controller support soon, but google is your friend here as i don't have one and can't test that for you.One thing i guess you could do is go to "\Skyrim\profiles\RottenDub\skyrimprefs.ini" and play with these setting (just remember to keep a backup of skyrimprefs.ini)*On a personal note i advise to use keyboards as you'll have more buttons that in vanilla game [Controls] bUseKinect=0 <<< 1 fMouseHeadingSensitivity=0.0140 fGamepadHeadingSensitivity=0.9000 bAlwaysRunByDefault=1 bInvertYValues=0 bGamePadRumble=0 <<< 1 bMouseAcceleration=0 - Quote :
- I've found it needs a bit of tweaking, but I settled on this setup for Fallout 4 and it is working great in Skyrim (also the back paddles are great for binding hotkeys and similar nonsense!)
- Right stick - Mouse Joystick
- Vertical Sensitivity turned up a bit
- IN GAME - I have mouse/look sensitivity cranked up all the way
- Outside of game - I had to make sure Mouse Acceleration was turned on in my INI files (a common tweak is to disable it, but it makes gamepad gameplay much harder.)

- Hi everyone,
I recently got my Steam Controller and it works pretty good. But I when I play Skyrim, it doesnt work. I disabled the 360-controller setting in the Skyrim menu as described in other discussions. If I do so, I´m able to use the controller. But then, the Key-Mapping doesn´t work. The controller always uses the default desktop-configurations in the game (Arrow keys instead of WASD).
How can I fix this? - Quote :
- Haha, I finally found a solution making the stuff work !!! :-)
I disconnected the controller from the pc. Then, I started Skyrim and I was able to use the mouse and the keyboard. Then, I connected the steam controller, and as previously, I could not move, nor open open the steam overlay via the steam button on the controller.
But then, I opened the steam overlay via the keyboard (shift+tab) and the overlay appeared. After I closed the steam overlay again, everything worked as expected! All buttons are working correctly, and now, I also can show the steam-overlay via the button on the controller and I am also able to configure the controller while playing :-) Regarding save-games:*Again i don't recommend jumping from a modded game to another because of lingering scripts and possible CTD's ruining your experience. But if you want to try and use it here are the steps : 4.3 Comes with a tool called TESVESSE which you can find in MO () *I don't know how safe it is to use so back-up your saves first. 1.Open a save game 2.Go to global data table 3 3.Click "2 papyrus" 4.Empty papyrus 5.Compile and save 6.Also use the save button 7.You should have 2 new save-games which you can try and play now.
There's 2 more tools called re-stringer and re-saver that are on the nexus but will come with V.5 of the pack and i haven't use them to much as of yet.Same goes for TESVESSE.Make sure to read authors instructions before using them.
Good luck!
