Crash when saving | FIXED

Hey. When I save in custom Houses (which are already in the modpack) I crash. For example the cave between Riverwood and Whiterun at the waterfalls "Rayecks end" or something like that. when saving inside i crash.

EDIT: So now i crash basically everytime I save. Ive already checked other threads and did all. Nothing works.

Delete the game then move on. I have the same problem, after my save reaches 19mb it starts to crash. Nothing works, nothing.

ATTENTION: I FIXED IT SOMEHOW!

Okay do the following in the right Order:

Step 1: Load an older save that works with saving. That does not CTD.
Step 2: Create a new save in the pause menu after loading the older save.
Step 3: Type in the console player.kill
Step 4: Load the latest save that has the CTD bug.
Step 5: type in player.kill again
Step 6: Load the latest save with the CTD glitch again.
Step 7: Now make a new save again and see if it CTDs.

NOT FIXED. Still occurs.

RottenDub can you at least reply? Its your modpack we cant solve this by ourselves.

It is temporary. It will crash again later.

So basically the "Fix" is until you reload/restart Skyrim. Then it is bugged again.^^

My save file starts with 13mb at start, yours?.

Mine has about 17 MB. When i crash i reload a very old stable save, then do the fix, then reload the latest save. Thats how I can continue playing but all saves after the stable save seem corrupt. Meaning, I cant do the fix with them. I wish RottenDub would answer but he doesnt. This is a game breaker bug. You cant play without saving.

What's the size of your file when at start of the game?.

Mate I have a suggestion. Do this. Load your latest save. Wait 1 minute and load the latest save again. Then try to save.

Dude, it works for a while then crashes again, believe me did this alot. I'm using Win8.1 and SSD.

Mate I know that it crashes. But I mean its better to play than to give up playing. Its too much fun for me to delete this. ^^ As long as this works its ok i think.

Dude man, stop getting down Rottens throat. The guy has worked super hard on this pack for years and helps people as much as possible and then you guys shit on him if he doesn't respond in less than a fucking day?! Fucking relax jesus. Maybe he wants to actually PLAY some games for once instead of always fixing other people's problems. Not everyone has this crash after save issue. Typical downloaders blaming it on a pack or mod instead of maybe something the downloader did. Could be a weird anomaly with your systems who knows. Just give him some time and play something else for awhile till he gets back to you. If he doesn't then maybe you have to figure it out yourself.

I didnt blame him once. And I am extremely thankful to him. Stop insulting me without reason. I was just kinda stressed because I tried for the whole day fixing it and asked myself why he didnt reply even though he replied to others threads, i was just sad about it. W/e youre right though, he does this without any kind of payment and I should be thankful for his work, which I am a lot. So thank you very much  RottenDub for this awesome modpack. :)

Right now I can play though, I did the fix above, it works until you close and restart Skyrim so its not too bad since when I play Skyrim I play it for a few hours. ^^ Good day to all!

Sorry for overreacting with you its just sometimes I read the comments in these threads and bugs me how some don't appreciate his hard work and just criticize things. Shouldn't have thrown it all on you. Glad you found a temporary fix at least. Cheers

Hey mate, I found a workaround. For me atleast! And it works always so far. :)

Basically, just click continue when you start Skyrim. So it loads your latest save. Wait 10 seconds after it loaded, then reload the same save.
Now you can save normally and play UNTIL restarting skyrim. Then you gotta do it again. Hope that works!

Causes for some crashes might be :

1.Pack's path is not X:\Skyrim
2.Load order is incorrect
3.Patches wrongfully re-made
4.Some installation instructions were not followed correctly
5.Leavening task manager open (messes with MO's hook/virtualization)
6.Messing with the ini's to much without nothing what each setting does.
7.Messing with ENB's ini's to much without nothing what each setting does.
8.Playing the pack with forcebordeless window on set to true ini ENB ini (had 1 crash while playing like this)
9.Having sub par hardware and not the recommended settings (your game will crash without warning as they hit their limit or shutdown not to damage themselves from overheating)
10.Adding mods while not fully reading author's description and instructions or adding mods that conflict with the ones in the pack (textures are OK)


Known bugs


•Witch Plate Armors may be totally bugged or gender specific to male characters.
•(Not really a bug but good to know)After you change texture quality open skyrimprefs.ini and make sure this is set to 0 iTexMipMapSkip=0

CTD


•Encountered 1 CTD trying to get to Helgen for the first time
*Unable to reproduce

•Possible fix for CTD on save.
Since some people say their game crash on save i tried to reproduce it.
After many failures to crash the pack i sorted the load-order incorrectly both in left and right pane,this led to crashes on save.
So no.1 make sure your load order is correct as per http://www.modwat.ch/u/RottenDub
•Doing this i've noticed the CTD on save kept happening after the load order was corrected.
•Also noticed the game tries to create a temporary save-game adding a .tmp after the name when crashing.
•To resolve go to your game-saves path and delete all the files that contain the .tmp extension
C:\Users\YOURUSER\Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Saves or X:\Skyrim\profiles\RottenDub\Saves
•Game should not crash now with a correct load order.

Bug reporting


•If you find a bug this is the place to submit it but first please make sure


*You followed install guide,install troubleshot and performance guide and pack was installed correctly
*All bugs should be submitted after you slay the first dragon to avoid any conflicts with alternative start and pack it's put through it's normal paces.
*If you add you're own mods to the pack it's your responsibility to follow modding etiquette correct load order and so forth, this is not the place to troubleshot the mods you add on your own.
