Before I get started I'd just like to say thank you for such an excellent compilation of mods. What I've played so far has been a lot of fun. Also I apologize if i write this poorly, I think I've posted to an online forum maybe twice in my life.
I followed the instructions for installing everything and was surprised that my game played pretty much with no problems save the occasional CTD. I decided to play a werewolf character since I haven't done so in several years. I used the alternate start option to start off as a werewolf and immediately tested my transformation.
My character began transforming but then stopped about half way through and I could not move or perform any action. The werewolf texture itself was also full of transparent spots where you could see my character model inside. After waiting some time or button mashing I could occasionally gain control of my character and run around like normal, except it looked like i was wearing a half done werewolf costume.
Suspecting scripting errors, I did some research on the Moonlight Tales Essentials mod and saw mention that the file PlayerWerewolfChangeScript.pex could cause these issues if it was changed by another mod. They also said that the mod also made no changes to this file which I thought was odd. I downloaded the mod and checked it's files, and checked the vanilla installation I have for this file but found it nowhere. I decided to remove it to see how the game reacted and I was able to transform like normal.
Unfortunately my werewolf is still full of transparent spots where it looks like the texture is just missing. I made sure there were no missing textures or meshes in the installed mod, and even copied and replaced them in case they somehow got corrupted but the problem still persists. I also temporarily removed the werewolf skeleton.nif that the XP32 skeleton has a conflict with and still no luck.
I have all the settings for MTE set to vanilla or toggled off. I cured myself, reinfected with the MCM option, and even progressed through the companions quest line but no change. I will mention that during the companions quest just after you transform and are running loose in Whiterun that the character model looked just fine and nothing seemed to be wrong.
At this point I've run out of ideas. I've spent almost the entire day trying to sort this out going through forum post after forum post and finally deciding to post here. Any thoughts on what I should try next? Thanks.
Edit: Using the "Disable the Skin System" option in the MCM menu before transforming seems to make the vanilla skin look fine. But then you don't have access to all the cool appearance options >.<
