| Hello,
I am unclear on non-steam installation. I had a look around and there is no skyrim that can be purchased that doesn't require steam... I do have skyrim with all dlcs on steam, should I just copy installation folder to X drive? I am at a loss, I even went to GAME.co.uk to buy skyrim legendary edition digital copy as it didn't mention steam on their website i assumed "yeah stand alone version just what i need" ... and they send me email with steam activation key... and i already have skyrim with all dlcs on steam... and GAME does not accept returns on digital content... i wasted £19 ... can someone help me please :) Ho the hell do i get "non-steam" instalation... in all tutorials it doesn't say "move instalation folder to X" it all says "install on X" how the hell can i do that with a game that is available only on steam on pc ??? EDIT: i forgot to mentioned I got skyrim legendary edition, hard copy on a cd, on amazon prime for just £10, arrived today, and it requires steam... edit2: spelling ...

| Hi, I followed the instructions for a Steam install and it works just fine: Step 4: Open File "Modorganizer.ini" in your Skyrim Folder using Notepad or Notepad++
- Press CTRL+H for Notepad and Notepad++ to bring up the Find & Replace Window
- Find "X:" and Replace it with "YOUR INSTALL DRIVE LOCATION\\SteamLibrary\\steamapps\\common\\Skyrim)"
- Find "X:/" and Replace it with "YOUR INSTALL DRIVE LOCATION\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Skyrim)"
I did find that the first time I replaced the install directories and hit save it seemed to mess them up by deleting the first letter after each slash. I then just manually changed them one by one. Took a while but it does work. Do a search on the forum and you will find other people with the same problem. Alternatively you can use this method: http://perfectlymodded.forumz.ro/t1067-how-to-install-skyrim-in-x-drive-from-steam?highlight=install+directoryI can also confirm this worked for me but I chose to stick with the first method.
